Cool wintry day. I think I need some comfort food. Pot pie, just like Grandpa Palps used to make.
A good pot pie is an unparalleled comfort food. And nothing says home like the Evil Emperor, am I right?
Beef Pot Pie
1 recipe Cold as Hoth Butter Crust
1 pound beef for stew, or steak, cubed small
2 Tablespoon flour, divided
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 Cup red wine, plus up to another 1/2 cup for final reducing step
12 ounce can of beef broth
1/2 Cup fresh or frozen peas
1/2 Cup fresh or frozen pearl onions
3/4 Cup chopped carrots
Prepare the crust and beef:
